I was really getting discouraged looking for jobs in my field. I had moved from Michigan to southern Virginia and virtually all the jobs in my specialty were in Northern Virginia; 100-150 miles away. It looked like I’d either have to take a job with a long distance commute, or simply settle for a job that didn’t take my experience into account.
